National Ozone Unit of the Ministry of Environment in collaboration with he United Nations Development Programme has held a stakeholder Workshop at Taj Samudra Hotel on 6th July 2010. 20 Years with Montreal Protocol- 15th December of this year marks the 20th anniversary of Sri Lanka, signing of the Montreal Protocol, the landmark international treaty to protect the stratospheric ozone layer. To date National Ozone Unit exceeded expectations and met our targets before the deadline to phase out the consumption of ozone depleting chemicals. To celebrate this remarkable day National Ozone Unit conducted a promotional campaign around the Pita Kotte Junction by distributing a souvenir sticker.  (download)
